Author guidelines
The Revista Científica del Amazonas is a multidisciplinary scientific publication that disseminates original and unpublished research in areas such as Humanities, Social Sciences, Education, Information and Communication Technologies, Health Culture, Environment, and Environmental Culture. Below are the guidelines and processes that authors must follow for submitting their manuscripts.
General Guidelines for Manuscript Submission

Originality and Exclusivity
- The journal accepts only original and unpublished works, derived from research projects formally registered with a recognized institution. The manuscript must not have been published or be under consideration in another journal.
- Before submitting a manuscript, authors must complete the Declaration of Originality Form, indicating that the document is original and has not been submitted for peer review in another journal. This step is mandatory for the manuscript to be considered for evaluation.
- The form requests the following information: article title; name of the author(s); academic degree of the author(s); institutional affiliation of the author(s); contact email of the author(s); ORCID of the author(s); country of origin of the author(s); description of the author(s)’ contribution to the manuscript; and conflict of interest statement.
In addition, the form includes a checkbox that the author(s) may select if they wish to be part of the journal’s reviewer pool. - The journal uses Turnitin Similarity Check software to evaluate content similarity. The similarity report is subject to qualitative analysis to determine whether the article can proceed to peer review.

Article Template
- Authors must use the official template provided by the Revista Científica del Amazonas to prepare their manuscripts. This ensures that all articles comply with the journal’s required formatting and structure guidelines.
Article Template [Download] - Authors must be registered in ORCID. ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID) is a unique and persistent identifier for researchers and scholars.
- Manuscripts must comply with APA (6th edition) style for all citations and bibliographic references. This ensures consistency and professionalism in the presentation of academic works.
- Authors must use the official template provided by the Revista Científica del Amazonas to prepare their manuscripts. This ensures that all articles comply with the journal’s required formatting and structure guidelines.

Manuscript Submission
- Authors must submit their manuscript, along with confirmation that they have completed the Declaration of Originality Form, to the email revistadelamazonas@gmail.com. The submission of an article does not guarantee its publication.
- A single author may not publish more than one article per volume of the Revista Científica del Amazonas, meaning within the same year. This rule aims to ensure fairness in publication, promote research diversity, and prevent the concentration of articles by a single author in the same period. Authors may submit a new manuscript only in the following volume.

Fees and Costs
The Revista Científica del Amazonas does not charge APC fees or submission fees. All articles are published free of charge.
Accepted Manuscript Types
Scientific and Technological Research Article
Documents presenting original results from completed research projects. They must follow a structure including Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review or Theoretical Framework, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.
Reflection Article
Documents presenting results from completed research from an analytical, interpretative, or critical perspective of the author on a specific topic. The structure includes Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Analysis, Conclusions, and References.
Review Article
Documents that systematize and integrate research results published on a specific field, with a literature review of at least 50 references. The structure includes Title, Abstract, Keywords, Introduction, Literature Review or Theoretical Framework, Methodology, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, and References.

Authors retain copyright over their works without restrictions and retain unrestricted publishing rights.
Articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, which allows third parties to copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format, and remix, transform, and build upon the material for any purpose, including commercial use, under the condition that appropriate credit is given, a link to the license is provided, and any changes are indicated. This may be done in any reasonable manner but not in a way that suggests the licensor endorses the user or their use.
Self-archiving of the final version
Amazonia Investiga encourages authors to self-archive the final published version of their articles on their personal websites, in institutional repositories, or in public repositories supported by the scientific community, provided that the original source is properly cited and a link to the journal’s homepage or the article’s DOI is included.
