The fourth edition of the Open Forum of Sciences of Latin America and the Caribbean, taking place on San Andrés Island, Colombia, from December 2 to 4, is just around the corner.

CILAC 2024 has already confirmed over 70 sessions featuring renowned leaders from around the world. Topics include gender and science, innovation and inclusion, scientific diplomacy, science communication, the Ocean Decade, scientific freedom and researcher security, energy transition, bioeconomy, the UNESCO Recommendation on Neuro-rights, space agencies, open science ecosystems, digital citizenship, and more.

Recognized as the regional hub for science, technology, and innovation, CILAC is a platform to debate, plan, and monitor effective policies aimed at achieving the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda.

This international event will feature thematic sessions with regional and global leaders, high-level panels with ministers and authorities, as well as parallel events such as workshops, launches, and demonstrations. The main stage will host key sessions and content of interest, alongside an exhibition area with stands from institutions and companies supporting the Forum’s development.
