The Scientific Journal of the Amazon is an international open-access scientific publication with continuous frequency, edited in electronic format, dedicated to the dissemination of research and intellectual production in the areas of Biodiversity and Conservation, Environmental Sciences and Sustainability, Environmental Culture, Traditional Knowledge, Education and Pedagogical Innovation, Social Sciences and Humanities, Health and Quality of Life.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal should be research, review, or reflective works that may be written in Spanish, English, or Portuguese, and will undergo peer review.

We are committed to accessibility, offering our content in open-access format, which allows for broad distribution and visibility worldwide. We believe that interdisciplinarity is the best representation of knowledge, as the richness of wisdom is essential to generate a positive impact on society.

Starting in 2025, the journal adopted a continuous publication model, organizing its content into two issues per year, with fixed editorial closing dates in June and December. This model allows accepted articles to be published immediately, without waiting for the full issue to be compiled, thus accelerating their visibility and early citation.
